The simulated war in IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Moscow has it written all over: the chances of thoroughly defeating the Red Army  are slim.

Nonetheless, we get airborne and fight like victory is near. Even when the gates of Moscow are still far.

DCS Harrier Mavericks and TGP

Have you seen those guys going in and hitting all their targets with Maverick missiles in just one pass? Not me, that's for sure.

For starters, I am a bit too fond of the targeting pod (TPOD) to acquire targets. After un-caging the Mavericks and selecting them (sensor select forward in the stick) the TPOD turns down.

In this video (make sure to see it in YouTube for better resolution) I start the Mavericks first and then I use the TPOD. It works like a charm.

Wars of Succession is a great game. I could have benefited from some tutorials and a couple more of those small scenarios, like the one I'm playing in this video.

I can't believe how Eugene gave up on Mantua and retreated to his liar after a single fight with Villeroi ...

Somebody used this trick against me in a PBEM game a while ago. It's not cheap in ammo and potentially dangerous to friendlies around the targeted area. But who knows? Maybe one day I can use it in a real game!
